I visited this place for the first time and it was an excellent choice! Their shrimp tempura rolls are delicious and fresh and there YumYum sauce is the best with any dish!
The inside looks remodeled and very clean! Really enjoyed coming here and will he definitely be coming back! -

Ummmm. The fire sushi is very interesting and it tastes good too! The sushi is fresh and each of them are taste different. It is hard to explain but it is good to try.

This review is from an UberEats order so it will be strictly on taste and not presentation, service, atmosphere, etc.
My husband and I ordered three rolls to share and it was plenty (we weren't starving, but definitely hungry). We got the Spicy Crunchy Crab Roll ($6.95), Philadelphia Roll ($6.95), and Avocado Roll ($3.95) - the last two were good but the crunchy crab was by far our favorite. It wasn't very appealing at first glance, but then we tried it and were blown away. The crunch on top was perfect and the crab inside was stuffed full and very fresh. Highly recommended!
The other two rolls were about on par for other sushi restaurants we've frequented. Good taste, fresh ingredients, and not too much rice. They were great - especially for the price - but nothing super special.
We forgot to order drinks through the UberEats app so I needed to call the restaurant to add them. The woman who answered the phone was very friendly and customized our order without hesitation. The only downside to our entire order was they only included one pair of chopsticks and three packets of soy sauce. This wouldn't normally be a big deal for a home stocked with utensils and condiments - but we are in the process of moving into a new house and didn't have any! My husband ended up eating his rolls with his hands haha
I can't speak on the restaurant as a whole, but the sushi we ordered today was definitely five stars! We will be ordering again. -

Recently just visited this place for the first time this week it has some good Google reviews and Yelp is currently showing about 3 1/2 stars. I am giving 3 stars because I can't give 2 1/2. So let start off with what was good.
First the quality of the sushi is decent. Not the best and not the worst. Just mediocre. The seafood fried rice was not bad but the mussels in it had a strong fishy taste. Also the price is fair considering quality and portion size. Drinks stayed topped off. The location on Loop 288 is a convenient location from where I live. Normal I drive to a place in Lewisville for sushi.
Now here is what's bad.
When I arrived there was a funny smell in the place. It had a sewage odor like you have when there is a plumbing problem. It's was unbearable but wasn't pleasant either. It did diminish either by me just getting used to it or it dissipated.
My wife and I ordered and appetizer and sushi. We also ordered for our entree an order of rice and an order of vegetable noodles.
The sushi was the very first thing to arrive. Literally with in MINUTES of ordering. Normally that's good to get such fast service but it's too fast. This tells me that more than likely sushi or some of the sushi is pre-made. That is a fail.
The rice and noodles were ok. Definitely not bad but jus mediocre. But everything came out extremely fast which is a heavy indicator there is stuff pre-made. After eating I became very nauseated and have a feeling it was the mussels in the rice. They were off putting.
The service was not stellar. The server was not friendly. Not rude but just had that vibe that he seemed annoyed with being there or with us. Customer service is is a big deal to me and my family. I know people have bad days and understand that. We are human. But our server just wasn't very approachable. I felt like we were bothering him just being there.
Next time I will just take the time to drive farther to the place we like. Even though our place is busy it's always great and the service is outstanding.
J Sushi just had a fast food diner vibe with poor service. I seriously doubt I will go back. -

I've ordered from J Sushi twice via DoorDash. I have tried the Go Go roll and their yakiudon and both have been consistently delicious and freshly served, even when delivered. The size of the roll was impressive and I appreciate how spicy they made my yakiudon following a special request. I intend to visit the restaurant itself very soon.
